Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This policy explains what information BGQ.ai (Business Growth Quotient) handles when you use the service, why we handle it, and the choices you have. BGQ.ai is a business growth intelligence platform that helps businesses connect their data sources and understand performance, growth, risks, opportunities, and areas that need improvement.

1. Information you give us

Account and profile information. When you sign up we collect your email address, your password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), and an optional full name.

Business information. When you create a business workspace we store its name, business type, reporting currency, your answers to the "growth picture" setup questions, and the team members and roles you add.

Files you upload. If you upload files, they are stored privately and are only accessible to members of your business workspace.

2. Data from connected integrations

BGQ only accesses data from an outside service after you, or an authorized member of your workspace, choose to connect it and approve access with that service.

Meta Ads. If you connect Meta Ads, you authorize BGQ through Meta's own sign-in screen. BGQ then reads, for the ad accounts you select:

  • Ad account details (account ID, name, currency, status).
  • Campaign, ad set and ad names, IDs and statuses, and campaign objective where available.
  • Daily performance metrics such as spend, impressions, reach, clicks, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversions/actions, and Meta-reported conversion value where available.

The current Meta integration is read-only. BGQ does not create, edit, pause, delete or otherwise manage your campaigns, ads, budgets, audiences or billing.

Meta-reported metrics are not your revenue. Conversion value reported by Meta reflects Meta's own attribution. BGQ shows it separately and does not treat it as your actual business revenue.

The access permission Meta issues to BGQ is stored encrypted on our servers and is never shown in the app or sent to your browser.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the service: sign-in, workspaces, dashboards, analytics, reports and data freshness information.
  • To keep connected data up to date through scheduled and manual synchronization.
  • To monitor advertising performance and show insights about your business.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems.
  • To communicate with you about your account, such as confirmation and password-reset emails.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your connected data for advertising to third parties.

4. Storage and security

  • Data is kept separate for each business workspace. Access rules in the database make sure members can only see data for workspaces they belong to.
  • Integration access permissions are encrypted and only usable by BGQ's servers.
  • Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with reasonable technical and organizational measures.

5. Service providers

We rely on third-party providers to run BGQ, including cloud hosting, database and authentication providers, and email delivery. They process data on our behalf only to provide their services to us. When you connect an integration such as Meta, your use of that service is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We keep account and business data while your account is active. If you disconnect an integration, future synchronization stops and BGQ's stored access permission for it is removed; previously imported data remains in your workspace until you ask us to delete it or delete the workspace. We may keep limited records where needed for security, legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Access and update your profile and business information in the app.
  • Disconnect any integration at any time from Data Sources.
  • Request a copy, correction or deletion of your data — see our Data Deletion page.
  • Remove BGQ's access from your Meta account settings at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us to exercise them.

8. Your responsibility

Only connect accounts and share data you are authorized to access and use for your business.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app or by email.
